Abstract: Can information geometry be the cure to ELM-fever? During this talk I will present the results obtained in my master thesis work. The automated detection of ELMs using a threshold-algorithm, the basics of information geometry and the classification of ELMs in different types will all be presented. The benefits of data science towards fusion research are demonstrated!
